Self-supporting Missionaries in the Dominican Republic Need Financial Assistance to Purchase Reliable Vehicle

My wife and I are self supporting missionaries, serving in the Dominican Republic. We have been here for about 4 years. We love helping people in different areas of life, we teach the bible but we also help out in construction projects around the Island. We had the opportunity to volunteer in Haiti after the devastating earthquake that rocked the country, as well as participate in a country wide recycling project helping Dominicans be green.

We have been able to impact the lives of many people, but unfortunately our little 1999 Daihatsu Terios is down for the count. Our work necessitates us having a reliable vehicle. We don't want or need anything luxurious but we do need something safe. Please help us raise $8000 to purchase a newer vehicle and help us help others.

Story of Need: After Getting Braces for Daughter, Mother Has other Needs

Help this young woman pay her bills.

"Hi my name is Bonnie,this is something i thought i would never do.i just can not seem to get out of this rut i am in,i have'nt been able to work for the past two yrs.because i've had two surgerys within these two yrs..the 1st was in mar.of 2011 at about 8mos.of it something went wrong and it failed so in may of 2012 i had to have it redone.so far so good.with the way jobs are these days its so hard to get one,i am looking.the stress from everything is just so much i have had to seek counsiling.the help i am asking for is to be able to get braces for my daughter,get my truck fixed before i can't drive it anymore.it needs door handles,major tune up and tires and maybe be able to get insurance.i can't keep up with my electric bill,they keep wanting to shut me off.last but not least maybe to be able to my daughter on a visit to my hometown in iowa to meet family she has not met yet before its to late.thank you for your time and god bless!"
