Self-supporting Missionaries in the Dominican Republic Need Financial Assistance to Purchase Reliable Vehicle

My wife and I are self supporting missionaries, serving in the Dominican Republic. We have been here for about 4 years. We love helping people in different areas of life, we teach the bible but we also help out in construction projects around the Island. We had the opportunity to volunteer in Haiti after the devastating earthquake that rocked the country, as well as participate in a country wide recycling project helping Dominicans be green.

We have been able to impact the lives of many people, but unfortunately our little 1999 Daihatsu Terios is down for the count. Our work necessitates us having a reliable vehicle. We don't want or need anything luxurious but we do need something safe. Please help us raise $8000 to purchase a newer vehicle and help us help others.

"Hello.. it's sad to ask to someone for some help, it's saddest when you don't have anyone to ask for it. I'm an Italian guy and needless to saying, i have some big problems. in the last two years things went down like a snowball. I lost the job, lost the girl, almost lost the house (for an earthquake, a small one, but still) and some other stuff that i's not necessary to list. in a way or another i'm unemployed from almost 2 years, so now i'm really broke. Unfortunally i'm a "middle class worker", not specialized for some job, too specialized for others.. i have dreams, like everyone, i would like to go back to the books, but if you can't even pay your meal, it's hard to go back to school.. I don't have any skill to try out something else, so i'm here asking for your help. I'm trying with all myself to be positive, but i'm going through in a very shitty time. I don't want to tell you how much i need because any financial help would be greatly appreciated. Anyway if you just want send me an email just to say hello, i would reply as soon as i can.
